“My Door Handle Has Fallen Off”

We have had this one a number of times, it’s more common than you think. It is inconvenient to say the least, especially if you find that you are now locked in or out of a room. There are several reasons why your door handle might have fallen off, there could be a missing screw on the door plate or there may even be a build up of dirt and debris caught that have made the handle loosen over time.

We have even witnessed a couple of door handles that have snapped in half whilst being used! Door handles are used frequently especially in the workplace, on top of this during the winter months door handles that are outside facing are subject to extreme weather conditions making it so they deteriorate over time. With this regular action and these weather conditions sometimes a handle gives in to all the pressure, resulting in a breakage.
